2026 GCSE RESULTS UPDATE: Review of outcomes in the previous academic year
In 2026 there remains a small gap between the grades of our disadvantaged cohort at TMS and their peers. This current sits at approximately 0.4 of a grade difference. Our A8 score for the 2026 cohort was 35.48. The grades achieved by disadvantaged pupils are above the grades of disadvantaged pupils nationally (34.9 from the 2024/25 academic year). This represents a significant leap forward from 26.1 in 2025, however, we are continually working to improve this.
Our focus is on Quality First Teaching in every instance and the actions we are undertaking to achieve this are detailed in the Pupil Premium Strategy published above. We are leveraging two major successes to work towards improved attainment: Reading & Attendance.
Our internal data and progress data shows that this is being successful. Pupils in the 2025 cohort closed the gap to their internal target grades by nearly half and in 2026 disadvantaged pupils exceeded their internally set targets. Given this trajectory we are confident that disadvantaged pupils at The Mandeville School will continue to succeed into the future.

Uniform Support
At The Mandeville School, we know that when students have the right uniform, they immediately feel a shared sense of belonging and pride in our school community. We want to support all of our pupils to feel that they truly belong and ensure that they are comfortable while they are here.
To help achieve this we may be able to offer some assistance to parents and carers for the purchase of compulsory branded school uniform items. Below, you will find our request forms for both general uniform support and Year 7 Entry support.
