Homework

At The Mandeville School, we want every student in our community to persevere, achieve and flourish. We want our students to take ownership of their learning and form independent habits which will enable them to achieve their academic potential and experience life to the full outside of school. Homework is essential in consolidating knowledge, developing skills and reflecting on learning and is a weekly priority for students at TMS. Each department sets and checks weekly homework for our students. Below is a brief description of what is set, when it is due and who to contact if you have any questions.

Where to Find Homework

Below are links to our most commonly used platforms:

Homework Help and Support

We are delighted to be able to offer a wide range of homework help and support. Any students who are struggling to log in to any online portals/ online homework or have forgotten any usernames or passwords can visit S17 every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday lunch time where Miss Drury will be happy to help (Jo.drury@mandeville.school) . Students can also use this space to complete any online homework as they will have access to computers during this time. We also offer a homework club in S16 every day after school until 4pm in the SEND department – all are welcome to attend for extra help and support.

Homework Detentions

If students fail to complete or hand in homework on time, their teacher will set a 30-minute homework detention. Students will be expected to stay in school for 30 minutes and attend a detention in S1, S2 or S17. Students can use the 30 minutes to catch up on any outstanding homework.
