Eighteen students have been presented with the brand new Pride of Mandeville Award this week to recognise their hard work and achievements at school.
Teachers and staff have been nominating students who have gone the extra mile by working hard, helping others and making them proud to work at the school.
Some of the students recognised include:
• Izabella Obaid, for helping a new student settle into the Mandeville community
• Jayme Craze, for taking the time to help a distressed student, engaging staff support and then returning to her own lesson to catch up and produce excellent work
• Alea Blair, for consistently going the extra mile and pushing herself to achieve her best in English. Mr Cockroft noted that her brilliant ideas in lessons pushed the rest of the class forward too
• Isa Wasim, for showing great resilience and setting high standards for himself inside and outside of lessons.
Awards were also given to Lee Bevan, Ben Buckle, Aidan Croxton, Connor Holmes, Ryan Hungwe, Kairi Jonas, Olivia Jones, Bethany Northcote, Alex Pike, Billie Ridgway, Sam Standen, Gabi Trapaviciute, Tyler Vaughan and Owen Watkins. Congratulations to everyone.
The Pride of Mandeville Award will be handed out each week to allow us to celebrate all the fantastic things happening around our school, and make sure the students know how proud we are of their efforts and achievements.
