Children are admitted to The Mandeville School in accordance with the Buckinghamshire Council admissions criteria. Parents applying for a place should refer to the Department for Education’s guidance on Moving Up to Secondary School.

Our Admissions Policy is here

Applications for school places are made directly through the Buckinghamshire County Council website:

www.buckscc.gov.uk/apply-for-a-school-place/
www.buckscc.gov.uk/contactadmissions

Preliminary visits by parents are welcome. Children are most welcome to make a visit with their parents.

Please note that all children transferring to us into Year 7 from junior and combined schools take part in an induction programme early in July so that they can meet the other children in their class and become familiar with their new environment, spending the day at their new school.

If Buckinghamshire County Council has already offered your child a place at our school and you wish to speak to our Admissions Team, please find contact information here.

Appeal against a secondary school decision

If a school has refused your child's school place application, you have the right to make an appeal to an independent appeal panel.

A school will usually only refuse a child a place if the school has received more applications than they have places available.

Full details of the appeals timetable and process can be found here, on the Buckinghamshire County Council website.
