Summary (all year groups)

Here you can find the curriculum map for PSHCE for the academic year 2019-20. This is subject to change as we move through the year, especially the Year 11 section. As we approach the final exams the topics revised will be based on the needs of the students and therefore cannot be set at this stage.

(Curriculum information below published January 2016 and is subject to change)

Personal, Social, Health, Citizenship and Economic Education (PSHCE) equips students with the knowledge, understanding, attitudes and skills to live healthy, safe, productive and responsible lives.  It encourages them to be enterprising and supports them in making effective transitions, positive learning and career choices and in managing their finances effectively.

PSHCE is taught as part of the Tutorial programme and covers such topics as relationships (including sex education), government and democracy, the local and global community, careers information, personal finance and drugs and alcohol education.  In addition, students are encouraged to take part in activities which support a variety of charities and other local community events at appropriate times.
