Did you know that, according to the Public Health of England, the United Kingdom is placed 9th in the world for child obesity from the ages 2-19? This was the statistic that inspired us to make a change.
Through the extensive process of innovating our product through market research, we came to the conclusion to have 4 different books to sell which contained moralistic and fictional children’s books about fruits and vegetables. Furthermore, each of these books contains a pack of seeds and a step by step checklist to allow for children to gain some practical experience of growing their knowledge in real time.
The business aims for our venture include:
These are our simple business objectives we aim to strive in every business activity that we engage in. We hope to use our product not only to encourage children in the healthy side of food but to also engage them with their creative palette in a way that will increase awareness of fruits and vegetables.
The two recurring characters in our business are Ed and Kate. Ed is a Corn-on-the-Cob and Kate is the Strawberry. Their stories will revolve around them gallivanting with the ‘less popular' fruit and vegetables on adventures that will explore morals such as friendship, quality and the importance of kindness. Our core aim is to teach children about the value of food as well as providing a simple project for parents and children to bond over.
